Beyond the laps, timings, and endurance, this special experience celebrates imagination, personality, and the spirit of skating. Whether you arrive as a legendary athlete, a movie icon, a superhero, a cultural symbol, or a completely original creation, this is your opportunity to transform the skating track into your own stage.

The Costume Experience is designed to add colour, excitement, and unforgettable moments to Skatathon. It’s not about who skates the fastest—it’s about who brings the most energy, creativity, and passion to the event. Put on your wheels, step into character, and make your mark at India’s most exciting skating celebration.

HOW IT WORKS?

  1. Register for the TrueSpin Skatathon.
  2. Arrive in a costume of your choice.
  3. Participate and complete your skating category while dressed in costume.
  4. Visit designated Costume Spotlight Zones for photographs and event coverage.
  5. Share the inspiration behind your costume with the event team if you’d like your story featured.
  6. Selected participants will be showcased across official event channels.

No additional registration is required.

CATEGORIES

Solo Spotlight

For individual skaters who want to showcase their creativity and originality.

Crew on Wheels

For groups skating together with a common theme or coordinated costumes.

  • Minimum 5 participants per team.
  • All team members must be registered skaters.

COSTUME GUIDELINES

  • Costumes must be safe and suitable for skating.
  • Skating movement and visibility should not be restricted.
  • Bib numbers must remain visible throughout the event.
  • Offensive, inappropriate, or unsafe costumes will not be permitted.
  • Judges will consider originality, presentation, creativity, and overall impact.

RECOGNITION

The most memorable costume entries will be highlighted through SportsPedal and TrueSpin event platforms.

COSTUME EXPERIENCE – RULES & GUIDELINES

Costumes, messages, gestures, or behaviour that contain offensive, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content will not be permitted.
Participants must wear suitable clothing at all times. Costumes that are excessively revealing or rely solely on body paint are not allowed.
All costumes must allow skaters to move freely, maintain visibility, and skate safely without creating risks for themselves or others.
Sharp items, explosive materials, hazardous objects, imitation weapons, or any prop that could cause injury are strictly prohibited.
Yes. All costume elements and accessories must comply with venue regulations, event safety protocols, and security screening requirements.
Participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully towards fellow skaters, volunteers, officials, photographers, spectators, and event staff.
No. Costumes should be fully functional and must not interfere with skating performance or require external assistance during participation.
All participants must comply with applicable laws and public conduct regulations.
Symbols, messages, or imagery promoting hatred, discrimination, violence, intolerance, or exclusion towards any individual or group are strictly forbidden.
By participating in the Costume Experience, skaters grant SportsPedal and TrueSpin the right to photograph, film, record, and use event-related images and videos for promotional, marketing, social media, editorial, and communication purposes.
Yes. SportsPedal reserves the right to refuse participation or remove any costume entry that does not meet event guidelines, safety standards, or the spirit of the Skatathon.

COSTUME EXPERIENCE – WINNER SELECTION PROCESS

Stage 1: Selection by Review Panel

Following the conclusion of the TrueSpin Skatathon, a review panel appointed by SportsPedal will evaluate photographs and video content captured during the event.

Participants will be assessed on:

  • Originality of Concept
  • Creativity & Theme Execution
  • Costume Design & Detail
  • Visual Impact on Wheels
  • Overall Costume Presentation

The review panel will identify a select group of standout entries from both the Individual and Group categories.

Please note that this stage is intended to create the finalist shortlist and does not determine the final winners.

Stage 2: Community Choice Voting

Finalists will be showcased on SportsPedal’s official digital platforms and social media channels.

The skating community, friends, family, and supporters will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite costume entries during a designated voting period.

Determining the Winners

Winners of the Costume Experience will be selected based on the highest number of valid votes received during the public voting phase.

Separate winners may be recognised for:

  • Best Individual Costume
  • Best Group Costume
  • Community Favourite Award
Voting Information

Details regarding voting platforms, timelines, eligibility, and winner announcements will be shared through official SportsPedal and TrueSpin communication channels after the event.

The decision of the organisers regarding eligibility, voting validity, and final results shall be final and binding.
