Skatathon 2025 - SKATE FOR A CAUSE
Roll into action at India’s first-ever Skatathon — a thrilling 1-hour non-stop skating challenge that blends fitness, fun, and generosity! This unique event invites skaters of all ages to hit the track, not just for the love of speed, but to make a difference. Together, we’ll collect sports equipment, clothes, and shoes to donate to children in need, helping them chase their own dreams in sports and life. Lace up, glide with purpose, and be part of a movement where every lap counts!

Information for skaters
Participation Fee
| Level I (Up to Age 20) | ₹599 |
| Level II (Above Age 21) | ₹699 |
*The participation fee depends on availability due to the current number of registered participants. So it pays to be quick here, too!
Eligibility
- Open to all age groups
- Anyone who knows how to skate can participate
- No race timing or ranking pressure — skate for the thrill!
- Helmet is compulsory – no helmet, no participation
- Protective gear like knee, elbow, and wrist guards is recommended
Bib Number & Timekeeping
- All skaters will receive a race bib number
- Bib must be clearly visible and placed on the outside of your helmet
Starting Times
- Date: Saturday, October 11th, 2025
- Location: Meco Kartopia, Bangalore, India
- Duration: 1:00 hour (from crossing the start line to the finish line)
- Reporting Time: 08:00 AM
- Race Start Time: 9:05 AM
- Race Finish Time: 10:00 AM
Clothing
- You may wear skin suits or
- White-colored sportswear
What to Avoid
- No bags or luggage allowed on the skate track
- Please carry minimal gear and avoid bringing valuables.
Track Guidelines
- Keep to the right while skating.
- Allow faster skaters to pass on the left.
- Do not skate in large groups — maintain safe distances.
Use hand signals to communicate with others:
- Both arms extended = Turning left or right
- Arms moving up and down = Caution / Slow down
- Both arms up = Emergency / Brake
- One hand down = Pothole or road hazard
- Arm to the side = Joining or leaving group
- Always look over your shoulder before changing direction.
- Call out when overtaking (e.g., “Coming left!”).
Medical & Safety Disclaimer
- An ambulance and first-aid team will be present near the track
- The organising team will not be responsible for:
- Any injuries or casualties during the event.
- Any loss or damage to personal belongings.
